Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia sure did know how to throw a party, and it didn’t take much for them to find something to celebrate in life. Though most of the parties were held in the living room, I got the most excited when they were being held out on the lanai. How could they not want to spend time in such a beautiful place? Especially since the weather in Florida is perfect 97% of the time.
As I sat down to plan my first holiday event in “the new home,” it was the lanai that drew my attention. I don’t think many of my guests will complain about hanging out back there, surrounded by flowers, overlooking the pool, and enjoying the warmth of the sun. I have to admit, it sure smells different here in Florida. Like salt water, fresh fruit, and flowers.
